Sept 18, 2007 New mp3: Nobody Knows (instrumental cover version) Original artist is Billy Squier. This song appears on the Billy Squier CD titled Don't Say No and is dedicated to the life of John Lennon. Every song on the CD is rock solid and this little gem stops me in my tracks everytime I hear it. Billy you are the greatest! Check out the Dont Say No CD and the entire Billy Squier catalog at Wherehouse.com Check out the Billy Squier official web page. Our version is an instrumental performed by Brian Oddi with help from Brians nephew Albert Speziali on the electric guitar doubling. July 23,2007 The Kluge 2.0 Due to internal conflict (read implosion) The Kluge as we knew it no longer exists. However Brian, Albert, and Don have decided to continue as a recording trio. The focus will be primarily on original music and will call upon the skills of other local musicians when the need or oppourtunity presents itself. June 26, 2007 New Mp3 added to Downloads page We have added to the Downloads page our cover version of the Tom Petty song "Saving Grace" from the latest Tom Petty CD (a must have for any CD collection)"Highway Companion". Not enough can be said about Tom Petty to convey the respect we have for him as a song writter/performer. Over the decades Tom has consistantly produced quality material that stands the test of time. Our version of Saving Grace features Don Michaud on vocals, percusion, and the "Don Wand". Brian played the electric guitars, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, piano, and organ tracks. March 20, 2007 New Kluge member Albert Speziali The Kluge would like to formally welcome Albert Speziali as the newest member of The Kluge. Albert is a great player with a knack for the details. After several "jam sessions" it was determined that he fits right in. Feb 10, 2007 New Mp3 C'mon Everybody A cover version of the Eddie Cochrane classic "C'mon Everybody" has been added to the downloads page. A very big thank you goes out to Walt Gwardyak for being kind enough to sit in on piano on this track. Walt is a great player, he made my not so high quality keyboard sound better than it ever has! Walt is the musical director/pianist for The New England Jazz ensemble. Brian played the guitars/bass/drums and did the vocals on this version. Dec 23, 2006 Happy Holidays! Happy Holidays to all! Holy $hit another year gone already?! Time flies when your having fun I suppose. We have started a new recording process in the home studio. We will be doing all the basic tracks live then going back and layering stuff in. We used to record everything seperately even the basic tracks, but we have learned the live "feel" is something you can't do unless it's...well.. LIVE. So far we have had good results. We have a few things near finished on the recorder. We may be getting into the Guiness Book of World Records for longest time ever spent recording a single music CD. Thank you to our friends and family for your support (and putting up with the noise), and a big Thank You for our # 1 Fan Albert. Happy New Year October 3, 2005 New MP3 added to downloads page. We have posted our cover of "I Wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones. Recording this song was lots of fun and almost painless. Work on the new CD continues at a record breaking sluggish pace. June 12, 2005 Happy Birthday Pete! We came out of our caves to celebrate Pete Lafond's 37'th birthday and play a few sets outdoors in the sun. Everything went as planned. Tape was rolling and outside of the periodic wind noise we got a nice recording. Relatives from Pete's wifes side of the family brought home cooked traditional Phillipino dishes. Pete and his wife made a fantastic frozen Mango desert. This was some of the best food I have ever eaten, they take their food seriously. Oct 28, 2004 New original song "Timbuktu And A Half" A rough mix of a new original song titled "Timbuktu And A Half" has been added to the downloads page. Work on the next CD continues at an incredibly slow pace. Jan 1, 2004 Happy New year! New Mp3! Seasons greetings! We wanted to start the year on a good note so we have posted Brians latest original instrumental song titled "The Storm". We plan to be busy recording new songs over the next few months and putting the finishing touches on songs already in the works. Thank you to those of you who have contacted us with your comments and suggestions over the past year, we certainly appreciate your kind words. Oct 10, 2004 New mp3 added to downloads page We have added a version of Knocking on Heavens door to the downloads page. We recorded this on our Yahmaha AW16G. The final mix will be a little different. We dedicate this version to the life of Warren Zevon. We have several half finished songs now. We would have had more done but Brian picked up a Billy Squier CD called "Happy Blue" and got completely absorbed in it. Happy Blue is an all acoustic CD, just Billy and his guitar. Great CD....a real treat. If you get a chance give it a listen. July 14,2004 New MP3 added to downloads page We were going through the "stuff" ligering on our AW16G recorder and found an "almost finished" version of Imagine by John Lennon. It's been a while since we have added anything so we figured we should post this rough mixed version. July 12, 2004 Original songs in the works Brian has a number of orignal songs he is working on. The relocation of the studio is a lot of work but will be done soon. The original songs are a mix of straight forward blues based hard rock and Alternate tuning acoustic stuff thrown in for good measure. Several songs have been "works in progress" for a few years, it's going to be nice to finaly have a quality recording of them. July 1, 2004 Change in plans Well trying to record and practice at the same time has not been very productive. We have several unfinished songs and have not gotten much done in the way of practicing. Add that to the fact that Gary's house (where we practice) is now in the process of being remodeled pretty much any practice is now on the back burner. So.... it has been decided that all the gear will go to Brians and he will set up a no BS studio in his house. With everything going as planned we should have some original songs posted in the next month or two. April 2, 2004 Slow going......But Good We have been grooving out with an old friend who came in from out of town and have not gotten much done in terms of any new recordings. John Kovach has been generous enough to grace us with his sax skills. John is a great player and has added a whole new vibe to our sound. He will be in town for another month or two so we plan on getting some stuff recorded with him. Feb 21,2004 Eight MP3's added to the downloads page Eight MP3's have been added to the downloads page.
